Production
From a sold job to a finished one. The steps after the sale: check the handoff, plan the materials, send the crew, get permits, clear the punch list, close the job.
Who can open it: owner, admin, manager, production, office. In the menu it is called Production.
What you can do on a job
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ready for production? | Confirms the sold job has what production needs before work starts. |
| Materials list | Lists the materials. Ordering is held back until the down payment is in. |
| Crew | Assigns the crew. |
| Permits | Records permits for the job. |
| Punch list | Tracks leftover items and marks each one resolved. |
| Closeout | Closes the job when the work is done. |
If someone needs to go around a rule (for example release materials early), they ask for it. A manager approves or denies. Nothing is overridden silently.
Which jobs show on the board
The board lists a job by the stage it has on the older customer page (see Customers and CRM), not by what you did on the Customers pages. In a new workspace it says "0 jobs in production, grouped by stage." and "No sold jobs are waiting to be checked." A project you sold on the Customers pages, with an accepted bid, did not appear on the board. A job you create on the older board at /board?classic=1 and move along its stages does: it shows under the stage it has reached (a job moved all the way along showed under Closeout), with its job number and branch.
On the job page the buttons are Check this job is ready, Save materials list, Release materials, Assign crew, Record permit, Open punch item and Complete closeout. The time box under Dispatch is your company's own time: type the time you mean, the way you would say it.
